In the summer transfer window, Odra Opole has made one of the loudest transfers of recent years in the backstage of the league. Beniaminek Nice 1 League has contracted Daisuke Matsui, a player well known in Poland, even from performances in Lechia Gdańsk. Will my game raise our league? The first question may not be different. Why Poland and Opole?
It's easy. From Poland, from the Odra river, Opole came a very specific offer. Besides, it's nice to remember your first time in your country. It certainly made the decision to return to Poland easier.
When was the first interest from the club?
The first interest appeared in June. Since then, I have had discussions with the Oder representatives. We quickly came to an agreement.
Did you come up and did you take into account offers from other countries?
Offers appeared from other clubs that play in the Japanese league. From the beginning, however, I took into account only the offer of the Odra.
First impressions of staying in a club and city?
I have not had a chance yet to get to know the city well . Everything was going pretty fast. Farewell to Japan, long flight, visit the club. For the moment my stay in Opole is a route from the hotel to training. As for my teammates every day is better, and my acclimatization in the club is very good. Everyone is positive, there is a good atmosphere, the team is high on the table. It drives training.
You signed a one year contract with the club. What goals, challenges do you make in the Odra? Do you plan to stay longer in our country?
I focus on what is here and now. I want to be fully fit and return to the field. The main objective? It is obvious to win a place in the squad and help your Oder to score three points in every encounter. As for the second part of the question. It does not matter to me, but I would like to play in the club as long as my health permits.
Your last visit to Poland has taken some time. How do you remember the adventures of Lechia Gdansk?
I had a great deal of support from my teammates, the training staff and Lechia Gdansk supporters. I really appreciate that. My stay in Poland was quite short, because it lasted only half a year. However, I remember the match with Legia. I scored two goals and Lechia won the match.
Admit that before the transfer to the Odra you heard anything about the Nice 1 League games?
I will be honest. I had no idea about the league or the teams in it.
